Specially blended sunless tanning lotion is sprayed onto the skin by an airbrush artist. The fine mist from the airbrush ensures a perfectly even application to the skin’s surface and avoids the streaking and patchiness of other tanning lotions. The active ingredient in the lotion is DHA. FDA approved for cosmetic use for more than 30 years, DHA darkens the skin by interacting with amino acids in the dead surface cells found in the outermost layer of the skin. Airbrush tanning is a wonderful option for health-conscious people wanting a beautiful look for special occasions: a wedding, prom vacation, etc.
Before Your Tan
• Shower and use an exfoliating body wash to remove the surface skin and oil. This helps to keep the tan even and longer lasting. “Swoosh” exfoliating cream may be purchased.
• Apply no lotion, cream, or makeup.
• Disposable garment may be purchased or you may wear your bathing suit or underwear to get sprayed in. Although the spray washes out of most fabrics, please be aware that whatever you wear may be stained.
• Your hair will be covered with a disposable cap during spraying.
After Your Tan
• To avoid streaking, do not get wet for 12 hours after your session.
• Your tan will continue to darken for several hours after your session.
• Your tan will last longer if you use a moisturizer frequently and avoid shaving.
• A high quality moisturizer with tan extender may be purchased.
• Your tan will begin to fade in about 1 week.
