| Mission Statement: The Youngstown Mattress Company Arts Center (YMCAC) is a facility for the visual arts where people of all skill levels can learn to create with their hands and develop their artistic potential. We believe art has the power to challenge, stimulate and enrich lives. Through our programs, we endeavor to bring that power to our community.
Assisting Cornelius, is a local artist Joyce Bielik, who completed a BFA at Youngstown State University in 1997. Joyce is a working sculptor, having worked on a variety of projects including restoring turn-of-the-century statuary for St. Anthony's Church in Youngstown. She shares studio space in the building and assists with building management and art program administration. |

| YMCAC invites individual and group proposals from artists interested in catalyzing artistic and cultural development. The Studios/Gallery offers opportunities for emerging artists to produce and display their work, and encourages artists to work together to promote original art and creative awareness in Youngstown. | |||||||||
